006.jpgFiona Watson has over 25 years of experience as a performer working with companies including Birmingham Rep, Liverpool Playhouse, Chester Gateway Theatre, The Green Room, Fusion, Vox Theatre and Contact Theatre.

After studying Drama at Manchester University, Fiona co-founded Publick Spirit Theatre Company, dedicated to devising and writing pieces of original theatre, with a strong physical style. During their 5 years together the company devised produced and toured 5 new Arts Council funded plays in the UK and Europe.

She then strengthened her physical theatre, mime and mask skills under the tutelage of Jacques Lecoq in Paris and is currently training with Scott Williams’ Impulse Company in the techniques of Sanford Meisner. Fiona is also a Forum Theatre practitioner having trained and worked with Cardboard Citizens.

TV appearances include Medics, Coronation Street, and The Bill and In Suspicious Circumstances.

More recently her work has included Oenone in Offstage Theatre’s sell-out Edinburgh Fringe production of ‘Phaedre’, Emilia In The Steam Industry’s production of ‘The Winter’s Tale’, and One Mile Away, a site specific project funded by the Arts Council through Spread The Word.

Other recent work includes playing a number of roles in Emily Lim’s Henry V at Southwark Playhouse and Elizabeth Dutton’s Magnyfycence at Hampton Court Palace.

Fiona will be touring with Tangled Feet, as part of their collective of performers, on ‘Home’ which will be playing at Glastonbury Festival, Cratere Surface Festival, France and Greenwich and Docklands International Festival over the coming months.

She is currently working on a number of other projects with Tangled Feet including the Measurement Shop and The Cells.

Fiona is available for physical theatre work as well as film/TV/radio work and continues to develop her one woman show ‘An Evening With Bunty Carnarvon’.
